O que me comove? No dia em que percebi o sentir da comoção, de uma emoção suscitada por um momento espontâneo, gratuito e ignorante da sua provocação em mim, percebi também que é o sentir que traz significado do mundo em mim. O comover tornou-se a força motora de vida, da produção de significado do mundo e do meu lugar nele. Percebi que o que me comove é o que me faz querer mover. E percebi que, perante algo tão forte, equiparando-o ao sentir do amor, quer seja por algo, por alguém ou por algum sítio, precisava de perceber o que me comove. Em jeito de lista de recados anotei os “meus” provocadores de comoção e traduzi-os em imagem, numa tentativa de recriação visual da beleza que senti. Trata-se da captação fotográfica de uma imagem (a maioria também da minha autoria, assinalando as que não são). A captação e expressão do que me comove e que, por isso, me faz mover.

What moves me? The day I perceived the feeling of emotion, of a spontaneous, gratuitous moment, unaware of its provocation within me, I also realized that it is feeling that brings meaning to the world within me. Being moved became the driving force of life, of the production of meaning in the world and my place in it. I realized that what moves me is what makes me want to move. And I realized that, faced with something so strong, equating it to the feeling of love, whether for something, for someone, or for some place, I needed to understand what moves me. As a to-do list, I noted down “my” provocateurs of emotion and translated them into images, in an attempt to visually recreate the beauty I felt. This is a photographic capture of an image (most of which are also my own, marking those that are not). Capturing and expressing what moves me and, therefore, motivates me.
